You're Engaged!

Let's first state the facts... Wedding flowers are a major impact on your event. Flowers and decor set the tone for the entire evening. They speak volumes to your guests. They have the unique ability to tell your story without a single word (if done right). Nobody wants lackluster decor that guests forget about the moment they enter a space; instead, we all want those WOW moments that make guests gasp in awe, that make photographers linger with their lenses, that create such impact that the memories and feelings will last a lifetime.

How do you achieve this? With good planning, a trusted Floral designer (aka wedding florist) and a targeted investment. But what exactly should you plan to spend on this? Let's dive in!

The following information is based on the average sized Wedding guest count of 150. It includes expected costs (including inflation) for the upcoming Wedding season of 2025. It is specific to the Upstate NY region but is likely similarly charged no matter where you're at. (within USA)

Bridal Party and Personals

The average cost of all personal flowers is between $1,500-2,000. This includes: all bouquets, boutonnières, flower girl baskets/crowns, and family pieces.

Ceremony and Aisle Flowers

This one can be tricky because there is so many different options! Between ground installations, Arbors and arches, pillar designs and similar, the options are grand. It also depends on how full and lush you want your designs to be, so be sure to consider that when budgeting for your Wedding flowers.

The average Aisle entry pieces (2 medium-large designs at entrance of aisle) range between &450-1k/each.

The average aisle designs (pew pieces, ground designs at base of each aisle chair) range between $65-325/each depending on the size/style you want.

The average main Ceremony design ranges from $2,500-5,500 but can easily go up even more for larger installations.

Cocktail Hour and Side Decor

Most events call for a bar design, high top table decor, side table (such as entry areas) Sign in table designs, signage add-on's and similar. On average this typically ranges between

1-3K total. If you are looking for ways to cut back on costs or focus on more impact elsewhere, this is an area you could omit completely as it's typically the least photographed as well as the area that makes the smallest impact on guests. But keep in mind, adding decor here will create cohesion throughout the entire space.

The Sweetheart Table

Whether you're choosing a sweetheart table or a main Head Table, the costs will range drastically, depending on your size/style of design needed. A simple Sweetheart Table Design can be a low as $250 but the average is between $1,500-3k. (pictured below cost $2,500 in 2024)

Guest Tables

The simplest of Centerpieces start at $65/per table. We're talking simple though!

Most couples choose for more impact, as this is what your guests will be looking at the majority of the evening. Centerpieces are talking points as much as they are making impact on the vibe of the entire event.

The average centerpiece (including candles) is between $200-400/per table. For an average sized event of 16 tables, that range is between 4-6K total. Remember, this is usually the bulk of the costs for florals for a reason- it makes the biggest impression on a space and is what transforms a space into your vision!

Labor, Delivery and Add-on Fees

It is no joke what Florists put in as far as time, energy, resources and labor to accomplish your Wedding Day designs. The average event takes 60 plus hours of labor to complete. Most designers fee for labor ranges between 20-30% of the total. (This is what your designer gets paid)

Other charges to account for include: Taxes, Delivery fees, Rental fees (if you're renting decor) and Strike services (strike=after party cleanup)

On average, all these costs together range between $3,500-4,500.

Total Costs of Wedding Flowers and Decor for 2025

The average 2025 Wedding will cost between 15-20K for Flowers and Decor. Keep in mind, this is for the average sized event. If you have a larger Wedding Party, Guest count or Wish list, or if you are particular with flower varieties, that cost will increase.

As professional Wedding Florists and Stylists, we recommend 15K as a starting point. No matter your budget, communication with your Wedding Team is key to achieving your vision. If 15-20K is simply not doable for you, be sure to tell your Florist what your investment level IS and we can give you realistic suggestions to still make your Day beautiful!
